Molunat

Algae (Botryocladia chiajeana)
The small island of Molunat lies less than 1 nm distant from the Molunat settlement. Interesting flora and fauna are found along its eastern shore, which is visited by open-water fish, such as Atlantic bonitos and greater amberjacks.

Diving tips

The site is reached by boat, which is anchored alongside the island at a depth of 15 m. Descent is to the tip of the wall and then to maximum depth; ascent is gradual with exploration of the wall.

Marine life

As with most walls found along the southern Adriatic, this one has colourful flora and fauna and is frequented by open-water fish, such as Atlantic bonitos and greater amberjacks, while rays breed in its shallows.
